horror. listened to 15 episodes. spoilers below.An unemployed gamer has received a mysterious email with two attachments. The first is an image of a woman with red hair and green eyes. The second is an old map of a town called Ocean Bay.This had such a great start! The beginning was so damn mysterious with the weird e-mail of the picture + hidden map. It gave me some very lowkey Matrix vibes. The small town setting and its history that followed was also really good! I tend to love stuff like that and was very intrigued about the maps with the streets that didn't exist and what that might mean. Then, came the answer...
The paranormal/supernatural/sci-fi twist really did not work for me. The non-human entities and family + map makers + other realm(?)/world(?) got so convoluted and strange that it ruined the entire thing for me. I started listening to episode 15 and decided to stop. There are 23 total; I'm not going to keep listening to it when the direction the audiodrama took is really very much not for me.
